Am I able to use a magic key pass on someone else other than the person it’s linked to. I’ve paid for a pass that is no longer being used bc I am not longer associated with that person. So I want to put my money to use. Is there anything that I can do ?

Hey there, Heidy! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question!

It sounds like you've got a Disneyland Magic Key pass that's feeling a bit like a forgotten toy in Andy's toy box, no longer adventuring in the parks with its original owner. You're hoping to let another lucky guest experience the magic with it, and that's a very generous thought! But unfortunately, Heidy, just like Cinderella's slipper only fits her perfectly, a Magic Key is magically linked to its original owner. You might recall having your picture taken the first time you used yours—that's part of the enchantment that keeps it personal! Magic Key passes are nontransferable and are not able to be shared with other guests.

For all the details, including the nontransferable nature of the pass, you can check out the Magic Key Pass Terms and Conditions. I should also let you know that, like a wish upon a star that's already been granted, Magic Key passes are also non-refundable. While I wish I could wave a magic wand and conjure up a way to reinvest those funds into another magical experience, that option isn't available, unfortunately.

While you’re here, Heidy, I wanted to take the opportunity to share a few more things with you in case you’re a Magic Key holder yourself. I'm sure you're already familiar with some of the fantastic perks. Just as a friendly reminder, don't forget to take advantage of the included discounts on dining and merchandise—they can really add up and make each visit even more magical. And, be sure to check the Disneyland mobile app for any special Magic Key holder exclusives or events that might be happening during your next visit! Speaking of special events, the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival is returning from February 28th through April 21st, 2025! It's a wonderful opportunity to savor a delicious array of California-inspired cuisine and beverages. Your Magic Key discounts might even apply to some of the Festival Marketplace offerings, making it an even more tempting treat!

I know the news about transferring your pass might not be what you were hoping for, Heidy. But I'm sending you a sprinkle of pixie dust and hoping you'll find other ways to make magical memories at the Disneyland Resort, especially with all the perks of your own Magic Key! If you have any more questions, please don't hesitate to fly back to planDisney—we're always here to help!
