    Am I able to use a Magic Band (not Magic Band+) that I purchased from Walt Disney World last January on my upcoming Disney Cruise? If so, how do I link it my account?

    Ahoy again, Emmanuel! Welcome back to planDisney!

    Disney Cruise Line recently announced the addition of DisneyBand+ onboard some of their cruise ships. Currently, DisneyBand+ is available for use onboard Disney Wish, Disney Fantasy, and soon aboard Disney Magic. If I'm remembering correctly, your upcoming voyage will be aboard Disney Wonder. While MagicBand+ is compatible onboard ships with DisneyBand+ technology, MagicBands are not. I hope that clears up your question!

    As the Disney Wonder has not yet adopted the DisneyBand+ technology, your Key to the World Card will be what you use to access your stateroom and make purchases onboard. You will also present this card when you debark and embark at ports of call. Some guests like to bring a lanyard to wear their Key to the World card around their neck. My kids like to wear lanyards while my husband and I prefer to just keep the card in our pockets. You can do what suits your travel party best!
