Hello Steve,
Welcome to planDisney, and thanks for stopping by with such an important question for us to help you with. As the current
UK-based planDisney Panelist, it really is my pleasure to be the one assisting you today!
Oh boy, Steve! Your merry month of May holiday to the magic of Walt Disney World Resort is beginning to appear right around the river bend. And, I can bet you're beginning to feel super excited about seeing Mickey Mouse and all his Disney pals,
especially since hugs are returning at the most magical place on earth as highlighted within this recent Disney Parks Blog article.I always think it's super smart and exceptionally savvy to be thinking about, and planning ahead for any foreign travel finances. With this in mind, I'm more than happy to share with you that my own personal preference for spending in the U.S.A is always with a credit card, cash in US Dollars ($), and in more recent times, a travel money card such as Revolut, or similar.
Steve, it may be useful to understand that at present,
Guests are more than welcome to use any of these credit or debit card types as payment methods at Walt Disney World Resort - - Visa
- MasterCard
- American Express
- Discover Card
- Diners Club Charge Card
- JCB (Japan Credit Bureau)
Guests are indeed welcome to link up to
6 credit or debit cards to their My Disney Experience account which can be used for select purchases, dining,
Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering, and more at Walt Disney World Resort!
Simply follow these instructions to link a credit or debit card to your My Disney Experience account -
- Log in to your
My Disney Experience Mobile App - Head to
My Profile - Select

Add a Payment Method, and continue to follow the on-screen prompts to link a new credit or debit card
Plus, it's handy to know that the
Lobby Concierge desk within each Disney Resorts Collection hotel is able to provide international Guests like you and I, with the convenience of foreign currency exchange. And, if necessary, Guests can access 24-hour
ATM machines on Walt Disney World Resort property too - although please be aware that a fee may apply for any transactions made!
Steve, I hope that I've been able to provide some insight for you today. Now all that remains is for me to wish you a supercalifragilisticexpialidocious upcoming holiday at Walt Disney World Resort.
Have a great Disney day ~
Jane
