Hey there Jamie!
Thanks so much for stopping by with such a great question. I have an older thrill-seeker as well as a younger little one who does not meet many height requirements, so I often find myself taking advantage of the Rider Switch Service.
Now, Jamie, since the
Disney Genie+ service has not launched yet, I can only offer my personal experience.
When the FastPass+ service was in operation, all guests taking advantage of the
Rider Switch Service in conjunctions with a Fast Pass+ selection were required to have a valid FastPass+ selection for that ride. I would assume that the same still holds true for the Lightning Lane selections, however, we are still waiting for more exact specifications of the Genie+ service to be released.
I recommend that you stay tuned to the
Disney Parks Blog for more details on Genie+, or check with a Cast Member once you arrive, but before you make your Lightning Lane selections. I have found that the Cast Members under the blue tents in the parks know almost everything about
the My Disney Experience Mobile App, so I am sure that they would be able to offer some guidance.
See you real soon!
