Are we able to leave the park and return later ? I have a toddler and would like to come back in the evening for the fireworks but know he will not make it all day and into the night to watch.

    Hey Howdy Hey Nicole,

Thank you for bringing your question to planDisney! There is so much to do at the Walt Disney World Resort, especially during the Most Magical 50th Celebration. The two new nighttime spectaculars' Harmonious at EPCOT and Disney Enchantment at Magic Kingdom Park, are fantastic, and I'm sure your little one will love them.

You are definitely free to leave the parks and return later if the park hasn't reached capacity for the day. I always like to tell my friends and family that a Walt Disney World vacation is a marathon, not a sprint. Perfectly timed breaks throughout the day are essential for not only the tiniest Mouseketeer but your entire family. Like your little one, I need a break in order to make it to the fireworks, so all of my trips include a midday break. This is why I love staying at one of Walt Disney World Resort Collection Hotels. I can take one of Disney's modes of transportation back to my room, take a nap, and then relax by one of their incredible pools. I'm then able to return to the parks, fully rejuvenated and ready to grab a snack and get my spot for the fireworks.

Sometimes returning to the park crowds is not high on my list for the day, but I still want to watch the fireworks. On my last trip, I found a fun way to watch Disney's Enchantment without having to re-enter Magic Kingdom. Walt Disney's World Resort's Water Taxi is not just a fun way to get from your resort hotel to the parks. It is also a hidden fireworks viewing spot. If you catch the water taxi from Disney's Fort Wilderness Campground at the right time, you and your family can watch the night sky light up from the ship's bow. Your little one will get a fun ride, and you can avoid the mad rush out of Magic Kingdom with the show ends. It was truly a magical experience for me last time, and I will never forget seeing the finale of Disney's Enchantment over the Magic Kingdom's Railroad Station.

I hope this helps answer your question and plan out your park days. I know your little Mouseketeer will have the absolute best time at the Walt Disney World Resort. If you have any other questions, please feel free to reach out Nicole!
