Are we able to leave our car parked at the Wilderness Lodge after eating at the Whispering Canyon and take the small boat to and from MK? We are staying at the PORS. I am slightly mobility impaired and the wait to get on the bus from MK is LONG!

    Hi, Connie!

When you visit a resort for a dining reservation, you are generally granted about 3 hours to park in the visitors parking lot. Because the parking lots have limited space, the security guards ask guests to not park past their dining experience.

I have few options for you...

-Grab a taxi from your home resort of Port Orleans Riverside to Wilderness Lodge. This is only about a 10 minute ride. There will be a cost with this, around $15-$18 would be my best guess. After your super fun dinner at Whispering Canyon, you can take the boat to Magic Kingdom, then just hop on the bus back to Riverside at the end of your evening.

-Take your resort bus from Riverside to the Magic Kingdom. Commute to and from Wilderness Lodge via the boat (or bus) then take your resort bus back to Riverside after a fun night of magic.

-Your time will be much more flexible if you valet park at Wilderness Lodge. It is about $25 for valet parking (subject to change) but this covers you for the entire day so no need to rush (plus you will get your car pulled right up to the entrance at the end of the day!)

I hope you find a convenient way to get to and from your evening of Whispering Canyon and the Magic Kingdom. It really sounds like a perfect night of Disney fun to me!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is sailing with Disney Cruise Line, running (or cheering!) at runDisney events, taking hula lessons at Aulani, or vacationing at the Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. I am proud to be a part of the planDisney team and cannot wait to share my tips and advice for a magical vacation
