Hi there Yenny!
Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by as you prepare for your September adventure. As a fellow traveler and Costco member, I love to use my membership to stretch my vacation budget. Let's talk about using your Costco status at Walt Disney World.
You can only add a
dining plan to a vacation package booked online or over the phone through the
Walt Disney Travel Company. Guests making reservations with Costco Travel are not eligible for dining plans. If using a dining plan is important to you, you'll need to secure your room, theme park tickets, and dining plan directly through Disney. I know this differs from what you hoped to hear, but I'd be happy to share other ways you can use your Costco membership on vacation.
First, watch for specials on
Disney Gift Cards. Check the Costco website or paper mailers for occasional offers. Last December, I stocked up on Disney Gift Cards (the deal was 10% off gift card purchases up to $500) and used them to cover some dining expenses on an upcoming vacation. Buying discounted Disney Gift Cards is a great way to save money on dining if you book your stay through Costco and forego a dining plan.
Next, Costco Travel usually has excellent rates if you plan to rent a car on your trip. Many companies at Orlando International Airport allow you to bypass the rental car counter, go straight to your vehicle, and be on your way within minutes of arriving. It's so convenient! If you don't anticipate needing a car for your entire stay, consider a one-way rental and drop the car off at the
Disney Car Care Center when ready. The Car Care Center is conveniently located near
Magic Kingdom Park and provides a complimentary shuttle service to and from
onsite resorts.
I hope this is helpful, Yenny, and that you have a fantastic fall getaway. If there is anything else we at
planDisney can do to make your trip even more memorable, don't hesitate to reach out again. We're all ears! Thanks again for writing to us, and have a magical day.
