Hi Karla! Welcome to planDisney! Thanks so much for stopping by to ask this great question.
I'm happy to help with your planning to visit the Disneyland Resort! I also typically stay at one of the
Good Neighbor Hotels when I visit. If you are walking from your hotel to the theme park, you would need to enter from Harbor Boulevard or the
Downtown Disney District. The front street entrance to
Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa has a locked gate that requires a hotel key card to enter, and it is only for registered guests staying at the hotel. If you happen to have dining reservations at the hotel, you can check in with a Cast Member at the gatehouse, and you will be given access to go to the dining location. In my experience, I have been allowed to use the entrance to
Disney California Adventure Park after enjoying a meal at the hotel. However, the entrance to the theme park is otherwise reserved for guests staying at the hotel.
I hope this information helps as you make your vacation plans. A tip I have for you is that you can make
advanced dining reservations up to 60 days before you arrive. If you have more planning questions before you arrive, please stop by
planDisney again. We can't wait for you to be our guest, and we would love to help!
Happy Planning!
Smiles,
Lisa
