Are you able to embroider on the back side of baseball style caps that are purchased at the resort, or is it limited to mickey ear hats?

    Hi Rachel,

Thanks for visiting planDisney. Getting an item embroidered is a great way to personalize your Disneyland souvenirs.

There are embroidery locations inside both parks and at the Disneyland Hotel. If you are in Disneyland, you can head to the Mad Hatter Shop in Disneyland, both on Main Street and in Fantasyland. If you are over in California Adventure, you can get your items personalized at the Kingswell Shop or Seaside Souvenirs. If you are outside the park, you will need to head to the Small World Gifts & Sundries in the Disneyland Hotel for your embroidery needs.

Guests can get lots of items embroidered, including Mickey hats, sweaters, and even baseball hats! You may not be able to get embroidery across the back of the hat, but rather on the side. I recommend confirming with the Cast Members working the embroidery machine before making a purchase. There are lots of different fonts and colors to choose from, so I am sure you will find something that works for you!

Keep in mind that while the stores listed above do embroidery, you might find the hat you want at another store. World of Disney (Downtown Disney), Los Feliz Five and Dime (California Adventure), and the Emporium (Disneyland) have a much wider selection of items. Just remember that items brought for embroidering must be new, unworn, and have tags attached. Be sure to bring your receipt if you purchased your item at another store in the parks or from Downtown Disney. Items must have been purchased within the last 30 days.

If you are looking for another great option, consider getting some leather Mickey Ears or Minnie Ears customized with hand-painting over at Plaza Point (Disneyland) or at Julius Katz & Sons (California Adventure). Each store has a book of designs that you can choose from, including pixie dust and fireworks. The hand-painted personalization is adorable and could be a great alternative if the baseball cap does not work out.

I hope this was helpful information, Rachel! If you have any more questions or need other planning tips, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me or any of my fellow planDisney panelists. We’re always happy to sprinkle a little extra pixie dust on your Disney trip.

    Good luck!
