Are you able to eat kids meals on quick service if you’re an adult? Some of the kids choices sound nicer than the adults! I noticed that some fine print says the kids menu is for 9 under, how strict are they with this? Thanks

Welcome back to planDisney, Sophie! It sounds like you're planning for quite a magical vacation, including some delicious dining while visiting the Walt Disney World Resort! I love to explore the menus in advance of my visit to build up my appetite for magic, memories, and Mickey-shaped snacks!

You'll be happy to hear that adults are more than welcome to order from the kid's menu at quick-service dining locations throughout the resort area, and you can even do so conveniently through Mobile Ordering on the My Disney Experience mobile app. On my last visit, I opted to order the kid's grilled cheese combo at Woody's Lunch Box while my kids actually ordered the adult entree! Whatever works to keep away the rumbly in the tummies!

Sophie, I do want to mention that while this is usually not an issue for quick-service locations, table-service restaurants often differ in their policies. My daughters are 13 and 16 currently, but tend to be picky eaters and often prefer a meal from the children's menu. When this is the case at a table service restaurant, we have usually been offered to purchase an adult portion of the kid's meal they would prefer! On my recent visit, my friend opted for the chicken noodle soup at Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant, which was only available on the children's menu; our waiter allowed her to order an adult portion of this as her entree! So it never hurts to ask, but keep in mind individual restaurants may have differing policies in place!

Since we are talking about quick-service dining, I'd love to share some of our favorite place to rustle up some grub in each park:
I hope this is helpful, Sophie, and I'm wishing you a magical vacation filled with delicious meals, memories, and magic! Come on back to planDisney anytime if we can help again; there's always room at the table fo you to be our guest!

    Bon Appetit,
    Alison
