Hiya Warren,
Welcome back to planDisney! As they say, Walt Disney World Resort is for both the young and the young at heart, making it the perfect vacation destination for multi-generational families. I know you will have the most magical vacation with your entire family.
I always tell people that my preparation for my Walt Disney World vacations is akin to marathon training. You will be walking from the moment you park until you lay your head down at your resort accommodations for the night. It can be a lot for the average adult, let alone younger (and older) Mouseketeers. Unfortunately, Cast Members cannot let you drop off your family near the park entrances before
parking. There isn't a good place to turn around, so it is not something they can accommodate. However, before you turn to park in your parking lane, I would recommend speaking to the Cast Member. There is no guarantee but depending on how busy the parking lot is, they may be able to permit you to let your family members who need extra time exit your vehicle next to the parking tram loading area before you park. Again I want to reiterate that this is not a guaranteed solution; Cast Members have to consider the flow of traffic and your family's safety. That said, definitely ask; the worst they can say is no. Another suggestion I have is to get to the Theme Parks early. The parking lots are filled front to back, so the earlier you get there, the closer you will be to the Theme park (or Transportation and Ticket Center) entrance.
I'm sorry I couldn't be more helpful. Before I let you go, though, just a friendly reminder that you will need both a valid Theme Park ticket and a
Disney Park Pass Reservation to enter each Theme Park. If you have not reserved your Disney Park Pass Reservations, please do so as soon as you can.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
