Bennett, using Disney Gift Cards is the perfect way to pay for dining, merchandise and your Disney Resort hotel tab. Buying your Disney Gift Card from Canada using any other payment method than a credit card will indeed save you foreign exchange fees, you are correct. Please read through the
Terms and Conditions for Gift Cards and Merchandise Credits with particular attention to Issuance and Redemption of the Cards in preparation for your visit to Walt Disney World Resort.
For your convenience during your visit, you are welcome to add your Disney Gift Card/s to your digital wallet on your mobile device and to your My Disney Experience account payment method.
To add the Disney Gift Card to your digital wallet please open your Wallet on your mobile device, select the “+” sign and either scan the barcode at the back of the gift card or manually enter the ID number tucked under the barcode.
To add the Disney Gift Card/s to your
My Disney Experience mobile app please open the app, on the Home Screen click on the three short lines bottom right. You will be directed to your Welcome Page, please scroll down to and tap “My Profile” and from there scroll down to “Payment Method” where you will be able to add your Disney Gift Card/s by scanning the barcode, or by entering the ID number manually.
Adding a payment method to your My Disney Experience app will facilitate the new theme park ticket option called the
Disney Genie+ Lightning Lane which will save you time waiting in lines. Please secure your Disney Park Pass -
Theme Park Reservation using valid theme park admission, as this is currently the system in place for visiting Walt Disney World Resort theme parks.
The My Disney Experience app also features the handy
Disney MagicMobile Service which will enable you to store your theme park admission in your digital wallet, and it also connects with Disney PhotoPass Service. And if using
Direct-To-Room Service, you will be able to unlock your Disney Resort hotel Guest Room door!
