Hi there, Elaine! Welcome to the planDisney panel! You’ve definitely come to the right place with your question.
As many have experienced, it sounds like your Walt Disney World vacation plans were placed on hold during the recent closure of the
Theme Parks. Luckily, it is now possible to return to the magic as soon as you feel able to do so! In fact, Walt Disney World has been welcoming guests for a few months now. Because of the closures, and in the interest of keeping things fluid and flexible for all, Walt Disney World has adopted policies and practices that allow Guests to adapt their travel plans as needed. One of these changes includes
extending the expiration date of all unused Park Tickets to September 26, 2021. If your Park Tickets that you planned to use in April are linked to your
My Disney Experience account, you should be able to see these Tickets reflected in your account upon login, and should also be able to see the new, extended expiration date.
If you do not think you will have a chance to pay a visit by the date of this extension, or have any other questions or need to make further changes to your Tickets, the best course of action would be to contact Disney Ticket Services via telephone to explain your situation. Walt Disney World Cast Members are ready and waiting to help with these concerns!
As you continue planning, please know that in addition to valid
Theme Park Tickets, you will also need a Disney
Park Pass Reservation for each day you wish to visit a Theme Park during your vacation. I also recommend that you check out the
Experience Updates pages to see the most up-to-date review of all the policies and efforts to keep Guests and Cast Members as safe as possible during this time. Things may look and feel a bit different, but the same magic remains!
Elaine, I hope that this information helps you as you continue planning for your return to the magic. Please know that we are here for you every step along the way.
Wishing you many magical moments,
Clara
