    Will we be able to use our current MagicBand+ as a surrogate for the new Disney Cruise Line DisneyBand+, or will we need to specifically purchase a DisneyBand+ for the cruise in addition to our MagicBand+ for the parks?

    Hi there, Paul! Thank you for trusting planDisney with your Disney vacation planning questions. I am thrilled that Disney Cruise Line is debuting DisneyBand+ this summer aboard the Disney Wish. I’m happy to help you navigate this new technology.

    As someone who frequents Walt Disney World Resort, I know you are familiar with all the perks of MagicBand+. Disney Cruise Line is adopting the same helpful features – like opening your stateroom door and paying for purchases – but calling the wearable band a new name: DisneyBand+.

    I’m happy to share that your Walt Disney World Resort MagicBand+ can be used as a DisneyBand+ and vice versa. It might sound topsy-turvy, but I promise we’ll all get the hang of it in no time! The preview is taking place on the Disney Wish this summer, with the other ships adopting DisneyBand+ at a later date. Keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog as more information is announced.
