will I be able to use a credit card for every purchase I make at Disney if I want to . And will I need to carry a bit of cash for the small purchases like ice cream or a soda

    Hi Marcia!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thanks for visiting us with that great question.

The Walt Disney World Resort accepts many forms of payment, including cash, credit cards, debit cards, traveler's checks, Disney gift cards and much more. If you wish it, you may certainly carry "a bit of cash" for smaller purchases such as ice cream or soda. However, you'll be very happy to find out that even the small food carts are able to take debit and credit cards as forms of payment. Having said that, I will share that my family and I prefer to bring our Magic Bands into the Disney theme parks. These very convenient all-in-one devices are extremely versatile, and can be used to make all types of purchases with just a simple touch.

Marcia, I hope this information was useful. If you have any other questions, please come back to visit us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. We will be more than happy to answer all your questions, and hopefully, sprinkle a little pixie-dust on all your Disney vacations plans.

Wishing you a most unforgettable visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!
