Hi, David! Welcome to planDisney! It looks like you have some fun plans with Disney Cruise Line next week! Although they may be tiny,
junior sailors seem to travel with a lot of gadgets and gizmos. Sometimes it’s nice to have one spot to put all their thingamabobs.
Collapsible wagons may be brought onboard. However, they are the only type of wagon permitted, and they must be
stored in your stateroom or the designated parking area on Deck 2 (midship) for the Disney Dream or Deck 6 (midship) for the Disney Magic when not in use. The stateroom beds are raised about 14 inches and can probably accommodate your collapsed wagon.
Alternatively, strollers are available onboard on a first-come basis and can be used onboard and ashore. If your cruise includes a stop at
Disney’s private island Castaway Cay, complimentary beach-ready wagons are available near Scuttle’s Cove and the Pelican Point tram stop. This is a great option if you only plan to use your wagon on the island. Your Mouseketeers can travel in style and carry your towels as you look for the perfect beach location to call home for the day.
David, when my son was little, we ended up not taking his stroller with us. We found the ship to be manageable without it. The stateroom hallways are somewhat narrow, especially when the housekeeping cart is out. Depending on where your stateroom is located, you can walk up a few decks rather than wait for an elevator. My son still loves to race us up or down the stairs. I also recommend checking your Port Adventures to ensure they are stroller or wagon friendly. Expand the Know Before You Go section on the
Port Adventures page to see this information. I know that whatever you decide, your family will have a great time making memories to last a lifetime!
SEAS the adventure!
