Hi! Am I able to charge in-park purchases to my room at Disneyland when staying on site? WDW pro here but DLR newbie! Thinking through details as our trip approaches and appreciate your guidance.

    Welcome BACK, Amy!

Oh it's so good to see your name pop back up in our inbox, Amy! Thank you again for your continued use and support of planDisney! We're so happy to have you back hEAR, and I'm so excited for your trip out west to Walt's original theme park!!

At the current time, Disneyland Resort does not have charge-to-room purchasing capabilities like Walt Disney World Resort. That might change when MagicBand+ rolls out to the West Coast later this yEAR, but that's also still unconfirmed. You can, however, make Mobile Food and Beverage Orders as well as utilize Merchandise Mobile Checkout through your smartphone, which will charge your credit card on file in your Disneyland Mobile App, which is the same login info as your My Disney Experience WDW app. You can also add Disney e-Gift Cards to the mobile wallet in your smartphone or smartwatch and tap to pay that way.

I'm just like you, Amy, in that I was a Walt Disney World Resort person prior to my first visit in 30 yEARs to The Happiest Place on Earth. We ended up calling Mickey's first house home for about two years as my family was stationed in Southern California due to my husband's military service, and I was still discovering secrets, history, Disney Details and so much more right up until we left. My favorite game that I made up that I love to play is "spot the differences" where you basically compare what's similar and what's different between World and Land. Some differences feel like when you go to the same brand of grocery store on the other side of town so everything is the same but out of place to how you know it, and to me this is most apparent on Main Street U.S.A. in Disneyland Park. I also love noticing what's different on the attractions that are on both coasts, like how the DLR Pirates of the Caribbean is longer and has two drops but The Jungle Cruise doesn't have an indoor section. I hope you don't skip the attractions that are duplicates. And I hope that you really enjoy the 1955 Original 'Opening Day' attractions that are still around at Land but have been long retired at World, like Mr. Toad's Wild Ride and the Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage.

I hope you have the Best! Disneyland! Days! Ever! Amy! Be sure to keep up with the Disney Parks Blog and official planDisney Panel Instagram accounts for even more Disneyland Resort tips and tricks. And as always, if you have any more Disneyland Resort vacation planning questions, We're All Ears!
