Hey there Hailey,
Welcome to planDisney and thank you for your question! It sounds like you're gearing up for a fun visit to the Happiest Place on Earth.
As a fellow "out-of-towner" - I definitely understand that sometimes plans change. Currently, to enter one of the parks of the Disneyland Resort, you need both valid
theme park tickets and a
theme park reservation for each day you plan to visit.
Once you purchase your theme park tickets, they're valid through their expiration date, which is typically a pretty wide window. I usually double-check the expiration date on my tickets by checking the confirmation email I received when I first purchased them, which you can find by searching "Disneyland Confirmation" in your inbox.
Theme park reservations are subject to availability but are also very flexible and easy to modify even after you've already booked dates for a visit. As long your tickets aren't expiring any time soon, you should only need to change your theme park reservations.
These are
currently available about six months out from the current date, so if you're planning to visit sometime in this window then you can move your dates now - I like to use the
My Plans hub for managing details like this.
If your theme park tickets will expire before you're able to visit, you can still apply the value of those tickets toward the purchase of new tickets at an equal or greater value! You can do this by
speaking to a Cast Member at the Tickets line.
Thanks again for your question, Hailey! I hope you have a wonderful visit to the Happiest Place on Earth, but until then - happy planning!
Have a Magical Day,
Greg
