Welcome to planDisney, Joseph! Thanks so much for swinging by with your question today. I see you have some pretty important questions about your trip coming up this week, so let's jump right in and chat about cancellation policies and what happens if you need to postpone your trip.
Cancellation policies will vary depending on what kind of booking you have made. If you have booked a room at a
Disney Resorts Collection Hotel and didn't bundle it with
Theme Park tickets, your cancellation needs to be confirmed at least 5 days before your arrival to receive a refund of your deposit. If you have booked a vacation package that includes a Resort Hotel reservation along with Theme Park tickets, you will need to cancel your reservation 30 or more days before your trip to receive a refund of your deposit. Cancellations made 2 to 29 days before your trip will result in a cancellation fee of $200, and no-shows or cancellations less than 1 day in advance of your trip are non-refundable for the full package amount. These policies and dollar figures are subject to change so be sure to read your booking documents carefully to see how this policy applies to you.
Joseph, if there has been an emergency or sudden illness in your travel party, my best advice for you would be to
contact Disney Resort Hotel Reservations and speak directly with a Disney Cast Member. They will be able to talk you through what options are available to you if a cancellation or modification of your trip is what you decide on.
Have a magical day!
Jessica
