Are you able to buy pieces to build your own lightsaber at home from Savis Workshop?

Bright Suns, Ryan, and welcome to planDisney! I'm so excited you're looking into the incredible lightsaber-building experience at Savi's Workshop at the Disneyland Resort. You asked about buying pieces to build your own lightsaber at home, and that's an interesting question that speaks to the allure of these elegant weapons for a more civilized age! While the full experience there, where "Gatherers" guide you through constructing your hilt and selecting your kyber crystal, is an immersive event designed to be completed on-site in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, I understand you're looking to potentially take components home.

I have good news for you, Ryan: I reached out to the Merchandise Support line on your behalf, and a Cast Member confirmed that pieces to build your own lightsaber can indeed be purchased at Savi's Workshop. For the most up-to-date information on what's available and how to purchase these components outside of the full building experience, your best bet is still to speak directly with a Gatherer (Cast Member) at Savi's Workshop itself during your visit.

The full experience is truly unique, where the magic happens right there in the top-secret workshop away from the prying eyes of the First Order. The entire process, from choosing your path (Peace and Justice, Power and Control, Elemental Nature, or Protection and Defense!) to selecting your kyber crystal and assembling your hilt, takes around 20 minutes. And the highlight, Ryan, is the moment you activate your lightsaber! Imagine standing among fellow Star Wars fans as the blade hums to life, igniting with the color of your chosen crystal. It's a moment that will send shivers down your spine and connect you directly to the Force. Trust me, experiencing this "ignition" from the comfort of your couch simply wouldn't be the same! The Gatherers have truly mastered the art of creating an unforgettable, in-the-moment connection with your lightsaber. For this full experience, reservations are highly recommended and can be made up to 60 days in advance.

After you've forged your bond with your new lightsaber, or if you're just looking for galactic treasures, your next stop should be Dok-Ondar's Den of Antiquities. This notorious Ithorian proprietor has amassed a remarkable collection of artifacts from all corners of the galaxy, perfect for enhancing your personal collection. You'll find everything from rare kyber crystals to one-of-a-kind jewelry. It's the perfect place to pick up some extra "scrap metal" to enhance your personal collection, whether for home assembly or to customize your Savi's Workshop creation!

I hope this helps you prepare for an out-of-this-world adventure, Ryan! May the Spires keep you, and remember: "Do or do not. There is no try.” You're going to love it!

If you have any more questions as you plan your visit to Batuu, don't hesitate to ask. May the Force be with you!
