Hello are we able to bring small coolers in to the parks ?

    Hiya Sara,

Welcome to planDisney! With two little Mouseketeers under 3, I seriously considered bringing a cooler when I visited Walt Disney World Resort. My toddler is a huge snacker, so it would be a lifesaver. While I haven’t yet made that leap, I’ve spent a lot of time researching it.

While you are allowed to bring a small cooler with you, it must adhere to the Walt Disney World Property rules. All coolers must be no larger than 24” long x 15” wide x 18” high (this is regardless of whether they have wheels). So, as long as your cooler adheres to these dimensions, you are good to go!

I hope this was helpful, Sara. Before I let you go, I wanted to remind you that loose ice is prohibited at Walt Disney World Resort. You will need to bring reusable ice packs to keep anything cool. You also are prohibited from bringing glass containers, outside alcoholic beverages, and plastic straws (at Animal Kingdom). Also, if you don’t want to tote around your cooler all day, you should look into storing it in a locker. There are multiple sizes of coolers, and they are available to rent at the front entrance of each theme park. Please come back and see us if you need anything else.

    Happy Planning,

    Ashley F.

Hey Y'all! I’m Ashley and I live in Texas. My family and I love trying out the yummy snacks (DOLE Whip anyone!) and taking full advantage of our resort days. When we are not piloting the Millennium Falcon, exploring Kilimanjaro Safaris, or watching fireworks, you can find me planning our next adventure to Walt Disney World! I am so excited that you are planning a trip, and I look forward to helping you dig a little deeper and find the magic in all of the wonders of Walt Disney World Resort. Learn More About Ashley
