Hi Nicklaus and welcome to planDisney!
Disney’s Vero Beach Resort makes for the perfect getaway, especially after a busy trip to
Walt Disney World or getting off a
Disney cruise. It’s a great way to ease back into things before your vacation ends. Speaking of easing into things, let’s talk about setting up beach tents on the beach for that ultimate relaxation!
Nicklaus, you’re in luck! I just confirmed with a Cast Member at Vero Beach Resort that they do in fact permit personal tent shelters on the beach. They just ask that you set up such tents in a way to
not impede the beach rentals the resort has available for guests. As for size limitations, the Cast Member referred to local city and county regulations. I looked that up for you and they state that tents and canopies of up to 12 feet by 12 feet are permitted on the beach.
While you’re there at Vero Beach, be sure to explore around the Resort.
Eb & Flo’s Rentals provides bike rentals and there’s some great bike trails with some great views of Indian River.
Port Holes Miniature Golf can provide a fun and relaxing break from the pool and beach. If you’re lucky, you may even find loggerhead, green, and leatherback sea turtles nearby! Just be sure to maintain a safe distance as these
species are considered threatened or endangered.
Nicklaus, wishing you the best on your upcoming trip to Vero Beach! If you have any further questions about Disney Beach Resorts or Disney vacations in general, feel free to
contact me and my fellow panelists here at planDisney!
Your pal,
Sean
