Hi Claudia! It is great to see a fellow New Yorker planning their upcoming vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort.
When we travel I tend to be prepared. Traveling with little kids has taught me to expect the unexpected. The days at Disney can be long and warm. It can bring out a whole slew of behaviors and attitudes that are not very magical. Therefore when I pack to go to the parks, I make sure I am ready for just about anything. We always bring in bottled water and snacks. My kids usually have a sippy cup with milk when we enter the parks in the morning. Large coolers are not allowed into the park so we don’t usually tend to bring in extra milk, however cartons of milk are readily available for purchase throughout the parks. Speaking of large coolers, I want to link you to an area of the website that will give you the
restrictions on cooler and backpack sizes. I also have plenty of snacks stashed in my diaper bag usually pre-portioned out into small snack baggies. We love snacks like bananas, goldfish crackers, teddy grahams, and dry cereal for snacking. I tend to pack these snacks in the original packages in my suitcase and then split them into the Ziploc bags once we arrive to our resort.
Milk and bottled water are not covered under the refillable resort mug. There is a place on the soda machines that you can get water out of but it is not bottled. Bottled water and Milk are available for purchase in the food court of your resort hotel. We usually buy a half gallon of milk and keep it in the refrigerator in our room.
I hope that you have a wonderful vacation!
