Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Michelle! I'm so glad that I can answer this question for you just as you're about to leave for your Walt Disney World Resort vacation. Capturing your memories is going to be such an important part of your trip so I'm glad to hear that you have plans to document everything on video!
Michelle, I'm pleased to tell you that if you have a non-extending stabilizer for your camera or your phone you are more than welcome to bring it into the Theme Parks with you as long as it's small enough to fit inside a standard-sized backpack. As long as your camera's gimbal does not have any telescoping parts, it is compliant with the
Theme Park safety rules and it's fine to bring with you. It will be great for helping you capture high-quality footage of your trip for your family to re-watch over and over again! Make sure to use it safely and store it in your bag when you're riding any attractions where you might lose your grip on it. You're going to be glad you brought it when you're riding attractions like
Kilimanjaro Safaris at
Disney's Animal Kingdom, or when you're recording your family dancing along to the
Move It! Shake It! Mousekedance It! Street Party at
Magic Kingdom Park!
I hope this answers your question, Michelle, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation.
Jessica
