Am I able to bring an adult tricycle that would help with getting around the park since I have back problems that won’t allow all the walking?

Hey there, Alejandra, and welcome to planDisney!

I can definitely understand the need to find alternative ways to travel around the Disneyland Resort. I have had family members who have health issues that prevent them from being on their feet all day as well.

Unfortunately, tricycles are not permitted within Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park. However, the Disneyland Resort is committed to providing a welcoming, inclusive, and accessible experience for Guests, and there are some really great alternatives that might help!

First, there are rentals available for Electric Conveyance Vehicles (ECV) and manual wheelchairs outside the theme parks, just east of the Disneyland Park Main Entrance. These are available on a first-come, first-served basis though, so if instead, you'd like an option where you can make a reservation for a mobility rental then I would suggest ScooterBug. They are a private mobility rental company in the local area and is a Disney Featured Provider. You can find their information on the ECV and Wheelchair Rentals page as well.

Second, you could look into the Disability Access Service (DAS) during your trip. For eligible Guests, this service provides the option to request a return time for specific experiences that is comparable to the current standby wait times. When your return time arrives, you are able to access the attraction through the Lightning Lane entrance without having to physically wait in the standby line.

If you are interested in this option, I would highly recommend pre-registering through DAS Advance. You can pre-register as soon as 30 days in advance of a park visit, but no less than 2 days before your arrival. However, this is a great option as then you won't need to worry about registering when you arrive at the Disneyland Resort.

Some members of my family have utilized DAS, and it made their experience so much easier during their visit! Without it, they would not have been able to experience multiple attractions due to their inability to stand in lines for long periods of time. It's such a great option for those who are eligible!

Thank you again for your question, Alejandra. Feel free to come back and see us here at planDisney if you think of any follow-up questions. We'd love to help!
