Hello, are we able to book a rental car from the Sanford Airport and return it to the Disney Car Care Center the same day? We are looking for transportation from the airport to our Disney resort. We do not need a car the whole trip.

Hi Hannah, and welcome to planDisney! We are so thrilled to have you here, and I'm personally overjoyed that you'll be heading to the Most Magical Place on Earth soon. As someone who's also going on a trip to the Walt Disney World Resort in just a few days, I can totally relate to the excitement that you must be feeling right now. Let's dive right into your question, shall we?

While I can't say for sure whether you can book a rental car or not, I've got loads of info that can help you with that goal. Personally, I've rented a car multiple times at Orlando Sanford International Airport, and it's super easy if your flight is arriving there. If you're looking to return the car to Disney's Car Care Center, you'll need to rent a car through one of their preferred car rental partners: Enterprise, Alamo, or National. Lucky for you, the car rental facility is located near Magic Kingdom Park and offers a convenient, complimentary shuttle that provides door-to-door service from Disney Resorts Collection hotels to the car rental facility.

The Car Care Center is open from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM every day, and Alamo provides an after-hours drop box for guests to return rental car keys outside of operating hours. However, do note that with this option, you'll need to arrange your own transportation back to your hotel, as the shuttle service won't be available.

Since you won't need the car for your entire trip, my suggestion would be to use a rideshare service like Uber or Lyft from the airport to your Disney Resort. Sanford is a bit far away, and you would probably have to pay a surcharge to return the car at a different location anyways. So, this option may not save you a ton of money, and the process of returning the car and waiting for a shuttle to get back will take a few hours that you could spend enjoying the parks or relaxing at your Resort pool.

No matter what you decide, Hannah, I'm absolutely certain that you'll have an unforgettable time. I hope this answer helps with your planning, but please don't hesitate to reach out if you have more questions. We're always here to help out a friend like you.

    Cheers
