I was able to book the Plaza Inn for breakfast on August 25. Will there be characters there? It isn’t real clear. Will we be able to interact with the characters (hugs) like we used to?

Hiya pal, and welcome to planDisney! It looks like your Disneyland Resort adventure begins now, so let's get going.

Laurie, I'm so excited you were able to reserve "Minnie & Friends - Breakfast in the Park;" what a wonderful way to start your day at the Happiest Place on Earth. Character dining is a quintessential Disney experience, and I was thrilled to hEAR it has returned to the theme parks. Currently, Minnie Mouse and her friends stop by the Plaza Inn at breakfast, and although their appearance is not exactly the same as it used to be, I think you'll find modified character dining to be plenty of mouseke-fun!

During breakfast at the Plaza Inn, some of your favorite Disney friends will pass by your table and interact with diners from a few feet away. They will not be giving hugs or signing autographs, but they can pose for socially distant selfies, so stretch those arms and say cheese! My family and I enjoyed several modified character meals on a recent visit to the Disney Parks, and we had a great experience each time. The characters were very entertaining and as always, their personalities shined, even at a distance.

I hope this helps as you consider your upcoming meal at the Plaza Inn. Best wishes for a memorable visit, and we can't wait to see ya real soon!
