When will I be able to book online a resort reservation for January 2027?

    Hiya Kathleen,

Thank you so much for stopping by planDisney with your resort reservation question. I absolutely love that you are already dreaming up your next Disney vacation. Planning ahead is the perfect way to sprinkle in a little extra pixie dust and gives you plenty of time to think through everything from travel plans and resort choices to Lightning Lanes, dining reservations, and all the magical moments in between.

So Kathleen, let’s dive right into your question. At this time, Disney has not yet announced the official booking date for January 2027 vacations. While I know that is not quite the answer you were hoping for, we can take a peek at past trends. Last year, January 2026 bookings opened in late spring to early summer. If history repeats itself, you can expect a similar timeframe, though things can always change. My best advice is to keep checking the Walt Disney World website so you are ready when that booking window opens.

While you wait, this is a great time to start dreaming about which resort feels like the right fit for your vacation. Every Disney resort offers incredible theming and magical perks, including Early Theme Park Entry and complimentary transportation to and from the parks. One of my family’s favorites is Animal Kingdom Lodge. There is truly nothing like sipping a cup of coffee in the morning while watching giraffes and zebras wander the savanna right outside your window.

Another fun thing to think about is how many days you plan to stay and how you want to experience the parks. Will you focus on one park per day with a standard ticket, or are you considering adding a Park Hopper so you can bounce around a bit? Like starting in Epcot and ending the night at Magic Kingdom

One last tip, Kathleen. I highly recommend keeping an eye on the Disney Parks Blog. This is where you will find the latest updates on new merchandise, seasonal treats, and upcoming experiences. Who knows, we might even hear more news about the Tropical Americas expansion planned for Disney’s Animal Kingdom in 2027.

Kathleen, I hope this helps answer your question and gets you even more excited to plan your Disney adventure. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to visit us again.

    See you real soon,
