Hello, dear Kieron!
Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney!
I already love that you're planning this wonderful trip to the
Walt Disney World Resort ahead of time, and I must say that you came to the right place. Our planDisney crew is
all about planning the perfect trip (even when it includes some
unplanned time for relaxation), so please don't hesitate to use our expertise as often as you'd like!
Since you're planning for Thanksgiving in 2021, I must say that, so far, the Walt Disney World Resort hasn't opened bookings beyond September 27, but it may happen soon. Keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog so that you are among the first to know when they break the news.
But, as you probably know, our planDisney minds
never stop, so I'm going to share some of my pre-booking planning steps so that you can keep busy until you can book your campsite for this Thanksgiving adventure.
When I'm planning a trip, but I can't immediately act on a reservation or a purchase, for example, I like to make spreadsheets.
Please don't judge me - that's just how my brain works. I make one big, colorful spreadsheet per trip, and I add all of my dream activities there:
restaurants, attractions, shows, downtime, pool breaks, and so on. This visual plan gives me a clear vision of the trip I want, and it's a real time-saver when it's time to move forward with the next booking steps.
I also like to work on craft projects while planning, so I make little 'Thank You' notes for Cast Members, room decorations, or little surprises for my family. Last time I assembled kits with cooling towels, individually packed face wipes, and sunscreen for my travel party, and they all loved it!
I hope that these travel planning projects keep you inspired and busy until it's time to book your stay at
The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort, Kieron!
In the meantime, if you have more questions, please visit us at planDisney once more. We
love to help planners like you!
May the magic be with you,
Julie
