Am I able to attend a Movie Under the Stars at a resort I am not staying at?

Movies Under the Stars is one of my favorite resort activities at Walt Disney World Resort, Nicholas! I'm so glad you stopped by planDisney to ask about this wonderful and complimentary offering. I love to cozy up with my family and a bucket of popcorn for a film because what could be butter than a Disney movie out on the lawn? I've got a kernel of wisdom to share with you about visiting other resorts for movies in the evenings, so let's get to it. Lights, camera, answer!

I am happy to report that guests of Disney Resort hotels are welcome to visit other resorts via Disney transportation in order to watch Movies Under the Stars. I spoke with a wonderful Cast Member named Tammy who shared this information with me. I have also enjoyed movies at other resorts myself. I once had a reservation at Geyser Point Bar & Grill at Disney's Wilderness Lodge and it turned into dinner and a movie! They had the inflatable screen up on the activity lawn just around the corner from the restaurant, and my family enjoyed a showing of Beauty and the Beast. It was made even more magical when the Electrical Water Pageant floated by on Bay Lake. After the movie, I headed back to the resort I was calling home for the week, Disney's Polynesian Village Resort.

You can scope out the movies that will be screened and the schedule for each resort by checking out the online activities board. Navigate to the resort's website and click on the "Recreation" tab. There you'll find the Activities Schedule for the week. For example, I see that Disney's All-Star Movies Resort is showing a movie each night. There are some classics on this list that certainly stand out, like Aladdin and A Goofy Movie! Schedules can change, so you might want to follow up with the resort that is showing your desired film before you travel to see it.

I hope this answer is just the ticket you need to plan your visit, Nicholas! The crew here at planDisney is happy to direct you to helpful information, so come back and see us if you need extra help.

    Stay magical,
    Scott
