I actually looked into this to make sure I was giving you the most accurate information, and a Cast Member confirmed that the
Airport Luggage Transfer Service is not available for carry-on bags. The way this service works is specifically tied to checked luggage that is handed over to your airline. The airline processes them through their own system so they can eventually make their way to your
Disney Resorts Collection hotel, or from your hotel all the way to your final destination.
Because of that process, you will not be able to use the service for your carry-on bags. Since those bags aren't meant to be checked, they won't be picked up or transported on your behalf. You'll need to keep those items with you and bring them along for the journey from the airport to your hotel and from the hotel to the airport.
I know that might not be the answer you were hoping for, especially if you were trying to skip handling luggage altogether, but the good news is that traveling with only carry-ons usually makes your arrival day much quicker and more flexible.
