Hiya there Matthew!
Welcome to planDisney and thank you so much for submitting your question! I see your trip is coming very soon, you must be so excited. I know I would be! I absolutely love visiting the Walt Disney World Resort with my friends and family and have the best memories from those trips. My personal favourites were the trips where I got to reunite with friends from all over Canada, it is so special to share such a sweet moment at the most magical place on Earth!
You can absolutely add somebody from a separate account to your family plan! If you are planning a trip with someone who has their ticket linked on their own account, you can easily
add them to your "My Family & Friends" list in your
My Disney Experience account. Just log into your account and hover your cursor over the My Disney Experience tab on the right, or if you are using the mobile app just click on the menu option at the bottom right. There you should be able to click on
"My Family & Friends" on the website, or click on "My Profile" and then "Family & Friends List" in the app. When you scroll to the bottom of your Family and Friends list, you will be able to click on "Add a Guest" and enter their information. Once you indicate that they are over 18 years old, you will be able to click on "Invite this Guest to connect." It is important that you write the email address that is connected to their My Disney Experience Account as they will then receive an invitation to connect with you. Once your invitation has been accepted, you should be able to see their information in your My Disney Experience Account and start planning with them! Just make sure they also have their own ticket linked to their My Disney Experience Account so that you can include them in your plans such as
theme park reservations.
If, however, someone in your party has their ticket linked on the wrong account, you can also reassign their ticket provided it has not yet been used. To do so, you would also need to make sure that this person is in your Family & Friends list first. Then, you can once again hover your cursor over the My Disney Experience tab on the website but this time click on "My Plans." After scrolling down a bit, you should be able to click on "Tickets and Memory Maker" and click on "Reassign Ticket" to the right of the ticket. You can also reach out to a
Guest Relations Cast Member either by chat, email or phone if you are having other issues.
With these steps, you should be all set to start making plans for your whole party. I hope this was helpful, Matthew, and I hope you are able to get back to planning your magical vacation! If you have any other questions, do not hesitate to send them our way as we are always happy to help.
I wish you a magical day and send you lots of pixie dust for your upcoming trip!
