Aloha, Jay!
Thanks for sailing our way! It's lovely to help a fellow voyager here on the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
First, let me share a little bit of my excitement with your trip: Staying at
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is
fantastic. I stayed there last September, and I
loved every second of my stay. The music that softly surrounds this Disney Resort hotel in calm, Polynesian sounds is so soothing that you will feel like walking around the grounds all day. Yes, it's
THAT relaxing. Combine these songs to the torches, the tropical landscaping,
and the
Cinderella Castle views, and you will be in for an unforgettable vacation!
About your reservation: As long as
your room is not at its maximum occupancy capacity, you will be allowed to add another person to your booking. The best way to make this change, in my opinion, is to
call the Disney Resort Hotel Reservations center and talk to a Cast Member. They will be able to help you update your reservation and also advise you on the purchase of Theme Park tickets, for example.
And while you're planning your Disney's Polynesian Village Resort getaway, don't forget to include reservations for a breakfast and a dinner at
Kona Cafe. To me, this place is kind of a hidden gem for both meals. The Tonga Toast is my classic order for
breakfast (my husband and I usually share it, as it's pretty big). The choice is a bit harder at
dinner, but the Crispy Pork-Vegetable Pot Stickers and the Rainbow Roll usually win my heart. I hope you like them too!
