About Me

I'm a Dole Whip-loving, Tiki Room-singing, fireworks-crying book lover and tea drinker. I was born and raised in the beautiful city of Toronto, Canada, and my superpower is that I can tell you at a mere glance if a dish is "real poutine" or not. Most of our family lives in Canada, so I have planned my share of cross-border Disney trips...there is nothing more magical than family time at Disney! When I'm not raising two imaginative kiddos or dreaming of our next Disney trip, I work as an educator at a university, where I love to use stories and questions to solve problems and facilitate learning. I'm also a runner with big runDisney dreams.

About My Family

I am a proud mom to a thrill ride loving tween and a Snow-King-in-training. My husband serves as a reservist in the United States Navy; as a proud military family, we love and appreciate the special perks Disney offers us when we visit the "Most Magical Place on Earth." We know planning takes some special considerations when there's a service member in the family, and it will be my pleasure to assist military guests with their planning questions.

When at Disney, my family especially loves parades, nighttime spectaculars, and character interactions. You will actually hear my children talk about the characters like they're family members. My son is an avid princess kiss collector and loves to tell about the time Tiana stopped him in the Magic Kingdom and said "hi, babycakes!" (Day. Made.) My daughter's best character moment was meeting Pluto at breakfast and then having him wave and blow her a kiss during the Disney Festival of Fantasy parade later that day. Whether we're munching on our favorite magical treats (looking at you, Dole Whip), searching for hidden magical spots, or riding our favorite dark rides, our Disney motto is, "when we're together, that's my favorite place."

About My Disney Experience

My first Disney trip was a trip-of-a-lifetime with my parents and brothers when I was 10 years old. I have two vivid memories from that trip: posing in front of Cinderella Castle while my photographer brother laid on the pavement to get the perfect shot, and standing in the Mexico pavilion at Epcot in complete amazement while all my senses were transported to this other land. I still get chills on the Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros!

As an adult, my family's first trip was with my whole side of the family (all 14 of us!) and we were hooked the moment we stepped onto Main Street, U.S.A. I have Disney Vacation Club members in the family, and we love to stay together in the villas where we can get those extra moments of family time while feeling like we're "home." Despite being an ultra-organized list-maker, one of my favorite Disney trips was completely spontaneous! We booked our resort the night before, surprised the kids in the morning, and went with the flow for a magical long weekend (three parks in one day, anyone?). Walt Disney World is my family's happy place, and I can't wait to help you unlock your Happily Ever After.
